Saturday Morning Ride

This was my longest ride of the year which ended the most mileage in a week at 81.3 miles.  All-in-all, it was a good ride.  The weather was about perfect (except for the humidity) and the scenery was nice.  Part of the ride was along a portion of the famed Camino Real of Texas up to the small town of Douglass.  I stopped there for a cold drink and a Snickers bar and then headed south around Lake Nacogdoches before turning south on FM 2782 to Texas Highway 7 back to town.  It was a long ride, hilly and it definitely whooped my butt.

I decided not video today's ride but did take several pictures.

As I took a break at the top of a good-sized hill, some deer came out of the woods near the road.  This is the last buck from the group.
